This is THE pub where I watched THE GAME. To be honest there was a moment of genuine disbelief after we won. Aussies expect to win, Brits expect to loose. Well this time it was all different; we beat 'em at our own game - "plucky british loosers" no more :-)

I watched most of the games in the early hours of the morning in a local pub in San Francisco - this picture was actually taken a year ago at the good old P&P. Usually we manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory - but not this time!

Coincidentally, I was in your neck of the woods last weekend; but only on a whistlestop overnight visit. I had a very nice dinner with some friends at La Trompette (which was excellent) before heading back out to Heathrow and home again.
